Free Classes at the Doorstep: A Day at Our Centre
Arpan Mitra Sangam was founded in 2015 by friends and colleagues who wanted to do more for children who had no access to school.
Since the beginning the society has run from a rented building, supported by modest contributions from people who believe every child deserves to learn. Each day children come for free lessons in reading, writing and arithmetic.
Our aim goes beyond basic lessons. We help every child and family secure admission in a nearby school, so that learning continues in a formal classroom. Our vision is to also establish computer learning centres for first-generation learners.
Our vision is to uplift underprivileged children by bridging the gap from scrap to school.
You can support this work by sponsoring a child, donating books or laptops, or volunteering your time.
